Some of these players use to play poker games before matches and in some cases they are turning to online betting sites. The result of these games affects their perfomance on the pitch if they lose, and as a consequence this leads to a resentment feeling in the team, knowledgeable of these gambling habits.

The problem of gambling among football players is not new. The use of smartphones for online gambling has made these players to keep their addiction easily in secret, but causing financial and emotional trauma due to the huge loss of money they can face.
