My name is Javier Pérez Villa, lawyer, and former athlete, specialist in sport law.
My career as a lawyer began in 1.998, focusing on areas such as labour, civil, company, and insolvency law. In 2.007 I founded the firm LOS SITIOS ABOGADOS, based in Zaragoza (Spain), offering legal advice in different areas of law as the ones mentioned, among others.
A year later, in 2.008, I approached sports law through the world of representation of athletes, founding AGENCIA INTERNACIONAL DE REPRESENTACIÓN, a company dedicated to the comprehensive management of professional athletes.
Since then, sports law has become relevant enough so as to begin an independent project, giving rise in 2.014 to www.javierperezvilla.com, a blog exclusively dedicated to sports law that continues now in this website www.lawyersportslaw.com, more accurate to the current demanded services.
I am member of Asociación Española de Derecho Deportivo (www.aedd.org), founding partner of Asociación Aragonesa de Derecho Deportivo (www.asaded.es), member of Asociación Española de Mediación Deportiva (www.asemd.es), and member of the Sport Law Section of Zaragoza Bar Asociation.
Always linked to sport, in 1.992 I became part of the Spanish Judo National Team until 1.998, when I finally left competition. After that, I have been in contact with sport through teaching.
